Q- Why do we need a Closed Loop recycling program?

A Closed Loop program is a fantastic way of reducing your environmental footprint, save money, increase operational efficiencies and promote your environmental awareness to your audience as most people now expect environmental responsibility. A Closed Loop program ensures that your non-recyclable waste stream which would have been going to landfill, is converted into a clean, recyclable waste stream that will be recycled and manufactured into new end-use products.

Q- We already recycle our cardboard waste...so, why do we need this program?

Cardboard is only a small component of the waste you generate. A Closed Loop program will recycle all of your recyclable materials which include paper, plastic, glass and aluminium. Your Closed Loop program will also take back your food waste and organic waste.

Q- What can we recycle using a Closed Loop program?

The below items can be recycled in your Closed Loop program:

1- Closed Loop compliant food & beverage packaging, paper, cardboard, plastic bottles & containers, glass bottles, aluminium & steel cans
2- Food waste (food preparation & food plate scraps) & organic waste (grass clippings)
3- Contractors waste (stage 2 of program)

Any packaging you purchase from Closed Loop is guaranteed recyclable and will be recycled.

Q- Do we need to change our cleaning company?

Not at all! We will work with your current cleaning company so that your Closed Loop program transition is as smooth as possible. Closed Loop will work on a day to day basis training your cleaning staff to ensure that everyone understands and is happy with the program.

Q- Do we need to change our waste company?

You don't need to change a thing! We work hand in hand with your current waste contractor allowing you to continue business as usual.

Q- Can we use our existing waste equipment or do we need new or special equipment?

In most cases, limited to no new waste equipment is needed for a Closed Loop program. We will adapt any existing bins or waste compactors on site so that they are compatible with your Closed Loop program. On the rare occasion where equipment is lacking, we will supply the infrastructure for you.

Q- If we need new equipment, were do we get this from?

Closed Loop can provide your equipment as we work closely with waste equipment specialists.

Q- Does anybody else offer this service?

We are the only company globally that is able to provide you with a Closed Loop program that offers this holistic approach to environmental solutions. Our expertise in this field makes Closed Loop world leaders in packaging and recycling programs.

Q- Who will train & educate my staff on the Closed Loop program?

A dedicated Closed Loop account manager will be on site to arrange regular training and education sessions for all of your staff. For further online education and assistance go to our ‘Already have a Closed Loop program?' section.

Q- What staff will require education & training?

Most staff will require education sessions as it is beneficial for them to know how your Closed Loop program functions and how important their role is in making your program as success. These staff will include cleaners, caterers, office staff, tenants, management and your waste and cleaning contractors.

Q- Do our caterers have to use your packaging products?

In order for a Closed Loop program to work, it must capture some element of recyclable Closed Loop product. It is essential that your waste streams contain Closed Loop compliant packaging to ensure a cleaner, recyclable waste stream otherwise your materials will ultimately end up back in landfill.
